DRESS CODE

We ask that all students wear proper dance attire. Some instructors may require specific attire. Please see handouts for those specifics. (T-shirts can be worn over leotards). Proper dance shoes are required for particular classes. Sneakers are permitted for Hip Hop classes only.

All hair must be pulled back. No jewelry is to be worn during class. Street clothes will not be permitted. (excluding Tap, Line and Ballroom dance classes)

No gum, food or candy is permitted in dance class room. Policy strictly enforced!

Class placement is based on age as well as ability. Each class must have at least 5 students registered to open.

(Children’s Dance I)

Beginners Ages 3 – 6

Introduction to dance, rhythm, placement and choreography

(Ballet I)

Introduction to ballet technique, placement, movement and choreography

(Jazz I)

Introduction to jazz technique, placement, movement and choreography

Beginner instructions on hip hop technique, movement, and choreography to enhance dance growth and abilities.

Beginner to advance hip hop dance technique. Instructions on hip hop technique, movement, and choreography to enhance dance growth and abilities.

Adult beginner to advanced instructions on ballet and modern dance technique. Focusing on placement, movement and choreography

Beginner to advance liturgical dance technique, placement, movement and choreography with instructions on interpretational movement through praise and worship

Beginner to advance instructions on couples dances such as traditional ballroom, the bop, cha cha and two step

Ages 16yrs and older

Beginner to advance instructions on the latest line dance moves. Also a good source of exercise.

INSTRUCTIONAL FEES

A $25 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of registration. Ballroom Dance Class registration fee is $15. All other fees are listed below. A family discount of $5 to $10 off monthly fee is given for each additional immediate family member actively enrolled. Family discount does not apply to Line Dance Class. Fee schedule will be as followed:

$30 a month for 1 class

$40 a month for 2 classes

$60 a month for 3 classes

$80 a month for 4 classes

$5 per class for Line Dance

$10 per class for Ballroom Dance

All fees are due at the first class of the month. Payments may be made in advance. Fees cannot be carried over if a class is missed. Ballroom Dance Class fee arrangements are per instructors discretion. All Checks for class fees are to be made payable to: Chester Fine Arts Center East. There will be a $12 fee for any check returned from the bank.
