Courtney is a 3rd-year Counseling M.Ed. student at North Carolina State University, completing her internship at the NC State University Counseling Center. She received her BA in 2014 from the Psychology Honors Program at The George Washington University. After working in correctional, assertive community outreach, and social service settings in Rhode Island and Washington, DC, Courtney joined the NC State community for her graduate studies. In 2017, she began working in the Forensic Psychology in the Public Interest Lab with Dr. Sarah Desmarais. Courtney entered the Graduate Research Assistant role at CFFACE in Fall 2018 to assist with projects related to the partnership between CFFACE and the NC Division of Social Services. 

Teaching and Research Interests

Courtney's research interests include program evaluation, organizational culture and change, social service intervention efficacy, utility and cultural validity of risk assessment and mental health screening, correctional and acute-care settings, and severe mental illness.
