Biography

Raisa Mathies is currently a MSW student in the Department of Social Work here at North Carolina State University. She has over seven (7) years of experience of community engagement work and she is a co-founder of a mentorship initiative in her home country, Liberia. In Liberia, she worked for local and international organizations, like Save the Children, to improve and protect the lives of vulnerable children and their families. At the center, she is an MSW intern who brings her passion, knowledge and experience to work with our team to conduct policy research and develop training materials for social workers and foster parents to improve children and youth expereince in the child welfare system.
